The alarm alarmed,
The noise so loud,
With rage I worn,
That was a short one.

The head I bowed,
To cry my mind,
But i was so away,
There was an enemy.

I had a lot to say,
Had a petition to sigh,
An intercession to sight,
An Name to exalt.

But there was an enemy:
the devil.
