VESSELS OF LIGHT FELLOWSHIP

 

DESCRIPTION

The vessels of light fellowship is a fellowship of 1st year 2012 September intake affiliated to the main campus Christian union of the University of Nairobi.

HISTORY

The fellowship began in September 2012. The first fellowship was held on 10th September 2012 and was steered by the then orientation committee lead by union secretary 2011/2012 Ms. Diana Maina. The members of the fellowship as is the tradition in MCCU were tasked with coming up with a name. This exercise took about 6 months and finally under the leadership of the fellowship’s first Coordinator, Mr. John Karugu, members agreed to the name VESSELS OF LIGHT.

THEME VERSE

The fellowship’s theme verse is Matthew 5:16 …let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

VISION

To be a congregation of Christ like believers ministering as family in  love to God and fellow men.

MISSION

To equip every member of the fellowship with Christ likeness for effective Christian life and reaching every student in the main campus of the university of Nairobi for Christ more so those of the September 2012 first year intake.

DAY, VENUE and TIME

Every Monday at St. ANDREWS PCEA CHURCH from 7.30pm to 9.00pm.

WEEKLY EVENTS

Fellowship: every Monday 7.30pm to 9.00pm

Tuesday evening prayers: Tuesday 8.00pm – 9.00p @graduation square

Family meetings: once a week
